Created by Dr. John Taylor, the hammer resembling a hatchet earned it the nickname the "Tomahawk" hammer.
The triangular rubber head provides a compact percussion hammer design to test deep tendon reflexes and help detect abnormalities of the central or peripheral nervous system.
The head is set inside a flat metal frame that provides a firm, comfortable grip.
